Dear Professional Colleagues,
“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.”
Someone rightly quoted the above and, in that reference, during this tough time of Covid19, we have to
face the challenges and have to play a pivotal role to overcome with it.
At Focus Group we took various initiatives to cop up the situation and used a new platform for knowledge
sharing. In last few months, we have organized Webinars & Zoom Meetings on a variety of topics of interest
to its members. Member’s extended participation and adaptation had made it successful.
This Journal is another effort by FoTac members to share knowledge and expertise with members at large.
Articles in this journal gives us an insight of upcoming updates and makes us aware of past events.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members who contributed and shared their articles in
this journal.
One mind can ignite many minds and your valuable insights can open paths for many readers.

Dear Focus Group enthusiast,
Welcome to our very first publication of the Tax Journal of FoTac. This journal will be single source of
knowledge on latest tax and compliance matters brought to you by expert enthusiasts of our group.
“The pen is mightier than the sword” and this is what this Journal aim to achieve in addition to imparting
knowledge and experience of our members on the various topics. As we are witnessing that the GCC
governments are bringing changes in their economies by introducing various compliances, VAT to ESR to
AML regulations, resulting that these nations are attracting the attention from the globe towards a promising
future. Being a Chartered Accountant, these changes are giving us an added advantage to showcase our
expertise with professional and service offerings. This journal is a baby step towards such support being
provided by our members and those who take advantage of this source of information alike.
It gives me immense pleasure to be part of the FoTac Group and to be able to contribute a drop of my
experience, along with many other enthusiast like you, leading to this vast ocean of knowledge and talent.
