MESSAGES FROM EXECUTIVE MEMBERS

Dear Members,

This three-letter word “TAX” is very close to my heart. It’s always a pleasure deliberating
on it and it is a delight seeing a journal around it getting published by Focus Group of Tax
and Compliance under ICAI Dubai Chapter banner. I would like to thank each and every
member who actively contributed in this journal and the team of Tax and Compliance Focus
Group. I must admit that few articles which I reviewed, helped me in adding more armours
to my understanding of the subject. I am hopeful that this tax journal will help all of us in
further adding value to ourselves and our understanding. All the Best and Happy Reading!!!

Dear CA Manoj,
My heartiest congratulations to you, and all members of the Focus Group of Tax and
Compliance, for releasing the first tax journal and making love for learning a habit and
a passion. It is indeed a great pleasure to be part of this esteemed group and share my
contribution.
We have seen a tremendous energy and enthusiasm in the learning & sharing in sessions
and social conversations of the group.
I sincerely wish that tax and compliance focus group be considered as pioneer for the tax
related discussions and incubator for interpretations of any future tax matters.

Chartered Accountants have been pivotal in the success of rolling out VAT and other
compliances in the UAE and the region. Our chapter and the Tax focus group have
supported our members in this journey. The Tax journal is another feather in the cap of
the Tax and Compliance focus group. Hearty congrats to all of you and to Manoj Agarwal
