On behalf of the Australian (Sydney) Chapter of ICAI, I congratulate Dubai Chapter for organising the 40 th
Annual International Conference themed “Connect to Impact” on 27 November 2022 at Grand Hyatt.

The theme of the conference is apt for the current environment and geopolitical situation. Covid-19
disrupted industries but at the same time, provided opportunities for businesses to think differently and
focus more on innovation. Sustainability is the real key and I’m glad your Chapter chose this as a central
theme of the conference.
Professionals like Chartered Accountants should have the capability to communicate their ideas and
insights to create a lasting impact. Every business should focus on the adoption of sustainable business
practices in order to be leaders in their field. Innovation is an indicator of true intelligence in the field of
finance, investments and many others, proving to improve efficiencies for the relevant businesses and their
management. In the long run, for professionals, it means more hard work and perseverance to keep up with
the change. This creates great leaders who inspire others to achieve their aspirations. As professionals, we
all must be attuned to the changing needs of businesses and the ability to adapt and innovate with ease is
what makes us different.

I understand that besides the Chief Guest, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, your Chapter has
invited a galaxy of speakers including Shri Smriti Irani, Mr. Boman Irani, Padma Shree Awardee Bharat
CA Samir Mehta Goenka. All speakers are inspirational and are best placed to guide attendees on leadership, innovation,
Chairman, and excellence.

It is heartening that the ICAI Dubai Chapter is organizing its 40 Annual International Conference with the
theme “Connect to Impact” on 27 November. 2022. The Chapter has been very active in facilitating

professional development and providing a platform for networking to Indian chartered accountants in UAE.
The theme aptly describes the efforts taken by the Chapter in encouraging professional and business
networking knowledge to showcase their ideas of innovation and integration that become the foundation for
organizational growth. This seminar, addressed by the galaxy of experts and leaders will surely provide a
unique opportunity to network with fellow Chartered Accountants from diversified sectors and visiting
speakers.
The Chapter has been actively providing dedicated platform towards the exchange of professional
knowledge amongst the members in the region by organizing various webinars and seminars on
contemporary topics from time to time.
