There are very few events which we can think of which unify the world and COVID 19 was one of them. The
world unified in technology, in grief and humankind was humbled and challenged. It was a time to reemphasize
that only those who had the strength and courage armored with passion will face this pandemic with the least
damage, be it in terms of health physical or mental or in terms of the economy. Just leadership wasn’t enough it
had to be forged with passion in order to reinvent and emerge victorious.
Let’s then celebrate the passion showed by our members as professionals and in their personal lives. You have
stood by your companies and left no stone unturned to make sure it survives and flourishes, on a personal front
you have showed empathy and helped others, strength has been combined with kindness. Wishing you all a
happy successful conference experience.

With over 60 overseas chapters now globally, ICAI with its members is the best placed organization amongst
our peers to lead this profession on world stage. The theme of this Annual Conference “Leading by Passion” is
a step pointing towards our vision of global leadership. Each one of us must contribute towards this goal with
innovation, ability to collaborate and sharing Ideas amongst ourselves.

Passion is a feeling of intense enthusiasm towards or compelling desire for someone or something, once you are
passionate for someone or something, you don’t look for any external force for motivation.
Members of Dubai Chapter have observed in last few months of testing times, their passion to learn and grown,
with enriching technical sessions and focused team meetings. These are the steppingstone to be better than
what we were yesterday. This passionate journey is helping all of us to be the best from the rest in the chosen
field, were some are learning and other are sharing knowledge as an outcome of passionate learner.
Wishing all members, a great year 2021, with a desire to create passionate surrounding and making your domain
area best from the rest for the betterment of self and society.
