The ICAI Dubai Chapter, in association with AGP World and HDFC Bank, organized a magical evening
with the World’s Renowned Mentalist – Nicolai Friedrich. In his show entitled – LIMITLESS, he
showcased a mind-blowing performance and extravagant magic live via zoom. Members were thrilled
by this experience as some of them were able to participate and experience the magic of Nicolai
Friedrich.

Understanding Intricacies of Indirect Tax & Critical Provisions of GST

– 26 September 2020

A students’ event was held on 26 September led by CA Rajiv Hira. The speaker of the session was by
CA Ashu Dalmia, Managing Partner, AAP & Co. who focused on topics – 1. Journey of 3 years in GST,
2. Constitution: An Overview from GST Perspective and 3. GST structure and few important aspects
about (a) Nature of Supply, (b) Input Tax Credit and (c) Demand & Recovery.

The Vice President of ICAI, CA Nihar Niranjan Jambusaria accepted ICAI Dubai Chapter’s invitation
as a Guest of Honour of the virtual event on Emerging Trends due to Technology and Pandemic along
with CA Kaleeswaran Arunachalam, Global Chief Financial Officer, Eicher Motors Limited who gave
an insight to ‘Changing role of CFOs and their perspective’ and CA Sanjay Vij, Partner, S.R. Batliboi &
Co LLP who focused on topic ‘Changing role of Auditors and their perspective’. CPE: 2 Hours

CAREER in the Era of COVID & Beyond – 24 October 2020

ICAI Dubai held a virtual meeting on CAREER in the Era of COVID & Beyond with speakers Ms. Swapna
Thindiath, HR Lead, CRIF UAE & Egypt who gave a session on ‘What has changed in our corporate
culture since the pandemic’ and Ms. Devanjali Rishi, Associate Director, Michael Page who focused on
topic ‘How to prepare for next Career Move, dos and don’ts’. CPE: 2 Hours

Protect Yourself, Organisation and Data – 28 October 2020
ICAI Dubai Chapter organized another interesting session on ‘Protect Yourself, Organisation and
Data’. Founder & MD of Gargash Insurance Services LLC, Mr. Mustafa Vazayil led the event with his
session on ‘How to restructure insurance plan’ while Clyde & Co’s, Partner - Mr. Ben Smith and Senior
Associate – Mr. Ben Gibson had a timely discussion on ‘Know about UBO rules’ and ‘Know about Data
Privacy Laws’. CPE: 2 Hours
