A very timely session entitled “World after Pandemic for CAs” was organized by ICAI Dubai Chapter
and was participated by 391 members. The session was led by Prof. Ranjan Das, Chairman, The Strategy
Academy who focused on his topic ‘Leadership Challenges and Responses in the World of Business’.

A 3-Day workshop on Economic Substance Regulations in UAE
- 29 May 2020 (Day 1)
The Day 1 of the workshop which was attended by 385 members was led by CA Hanumantha Kumar,
CA Anurag Chaturvedi & CA Manoj Agarwal who focused on the sessions – ESR - Insurance, Shipping,
Funds Management & Holding Company and Structure, Models, Reports, Timelines & Guidelines.

The 2nd day of the workshop focused on the ESR on ‘Banking & Intellectual Property Business’ and
‘Headquarter Business’ by CA Rajiv Hira and CA Nirav Shah, moderated by CA Manoj Agarwal. 372

A 3-Day workshop on Economic Substance Regulations in UAE
- 12 June 2020 (Day 3)
The 3rd and last day of the workshop gave an insight on ESR on ‘Lease - Finance Business’ and
‘Distribution & Service Center Business’ by CA Manu Nair & CA Jai Prakash Agarwal, moderated by
CA Manoj Agarwal. The last day of this 3-day workshop had a 406 number of participants. CPE: 3

A joint webinar organized by Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Eastern Province - KSA, Kuwait & Muscat
Chapter of ICAI was held on 30 May and was led by CA Mohandas Pai, Padma Shri Awardee, Chairman,
Manipal Global Education who had an interesting session entitled – ‘New India Post COVID-19’. CPE:

A session, led by CA Sheetal Soni, on ‘Introduction to Trade Instruments, Structuring and Preparing of
Documentary Credit and Letter of Credit’ was delivered by CA Sameer Balakrishnan, Assistant Vice
President - Trade Specialist, Mashreq Bank. Another successful event as it was attended by more than
