I place my gratitude to my fellow ICAI committee
members and all the members of ICAI Dubai
Chapter who made my run as a Chairman
possible and successful! I thank you all from the
bottom of my heart and appreciate all the
support that has come my way.
What a year it has been – Wonderful! Insightful!
Innovative & Filled with Learning!
My encounter with each of you has taught me a
great deal, kept me inspired and motivated me to
contribute more & more towards our institute.
ICAI is the second largest accounting body
globally and that has only been possible because
of the hard-working professionals associated
with it! Our mission is developing professionals
with world class competencies and look we have
achieved that, haven’t we?
Our professionals are front liners, decision
makers, strategists, and more of the doers in all
the major firms across the United Arab Emirates.
And I, as the chairman of ICAI Dubai, am proud of
each one of you to chase and achieve your
dreams and would motivate you to aim even
higher in this life.
On the same lines, there’s one quote, which is my
favorite – I literally plan to put it up on my office
walls too for my team – it says, “Every Morning
you have two choices, continue to sleep with
your dreams, or wake up and chase them!” I
can see each one of us waking up and chasing
our dreams and I am so happy that I, along with
ICAI and our initiatives, contributed a tiny bit in
taking each one of you closer to your aspirations.
When I started off in the ICAI Dubai Chapter
Managing Committee back in the year 2017, my
thought process was to understand what can
make us great, what can take us to new heights,
what can we manifest starting this day? And fast
forward to this day, we have a list of
achievements – all thanks and appreciation
towards you!
We began this year with theme- ‘Spreading
Knowledge, Creating Goodwill’ with best
Executive Committee who lived my vision and
delivered the best performance in form of 90
events throughout the year creating 160 learning
hours through:
• 72 technical events
• 4 CSR events
• 4 Sports events CHAIRMAN’S
• 5 Social and cultural events MESSAGE
• 3 Study Tours
• 1 Student event
Even though I am on the frontline, even though
sometimes I am the voice, even though I am in
front of the mic, but it has never been about me
or us on the committee – it has always been
about you. All the amazing things that have
happened and everything that ICAI was able to
achieve is all because of each one of you and your
contribution to your work, your dedication to
your dreams and your commitment to your
employers/companies.
I take pride in each moment when I have
represented each one of you throughout my
time on the committee and will always be a
support system and well wisher for ICAI and to all
my fellow members.
Its not us who have built this successful chapter,
its you. We will continue to flourish, we will
continue to expand, we will continue to stand out
because, my friends, this is only the beginning!
I can’t wait to walk into the next challenge, the
next phase, the next opportunity that the
Almighty will bless me with, but in spite of where
I am headed, know that I will always be right here
with you.
Before I conclude, my one line of advice to you
will be to remember, ‘your future is dependent
on what you do today not tomorrow’. Let’s
persevere to make one!
Thank you All for your trust and confidence in my
abilities and for granting me the honor of leading
such a reputed institute for a whole year, it’s been
an absolute pleasure!
