MESSAGE

It gives me immense pleasure to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Dubai Chapter of ICAI for organizing their
International Conference on 14 and 15 December 2024.

Today the ties between India and the UAE have reached new heights, driven by key collaborations in sectors like
fintech, renewable energy, infrastructure, and defence. Further, the professionals like CAs are in high demand in
countries like Dubai owing to the role they play in fostering the economy. In this context, the Dubai Chapter has
consistently been a symbol of ICAI’s excellence. It has been instrumental in facilitating and providing a platform for
networking for Indian Chartered Accountants coming to Dubai with career growth aspirations. Established in 1982,
the Dubai Chapter has been instrumental in the professional growth of our members abroad. And further, by
organizing impactful conferences on such relevant themes, the Chapter has significantly contributed to the
professional growth and development of its members, upholding the global reputation of Indian Chartered
Accountancy profession.

The theme of this year’s conference, “Envisage: Profession, Bharat and the World Economy ,” is timely and relevant.
It is a concept that could reflect the interplay between India's professional landscape and its impact on or integration
with the global economy. These Conferences on such emerging issues undoubtedly provide a forum of knowledge
sharing, networking and collaboration which is very much needed in these dynamic times

It is delightful to note that our members abroad have consistently demonstrated exceptional competence and
unwavering commitment, leaving a lasting mark on both national and international platforms. And by fostering a
culture of innovation and adaptability, ICAI empowers our members to be future-ready and future fit.

In this context, I would also like to share that ICAI is organising World Forum of Accountants on January 31-
February 02, 2025 at Yashobhoomi India International Convention & Expo Centre, New Delhi, India. This prestigious
event aims to bring together accounting and finance professionals from around the globe to engage, interact and
stay informed about the latest advancements in accountancy.

Additionally, ICAI has launched a Mobile App “Diaspora” to connect ICAI overseas members with each other. ICAI
Diaspora enables active member engagement and provides convenient access to information on the go. It will also
offer exclusive features for ICAI's overseas members, facilitating connectivity and networking opportunities among
them.

On this note, I commend the Dubai Chapter for their remarkable contributions to the profession. Further, I assure you
of my full support in all your endeavours to enhance ICAI's brand image and empower our members.
