Excise Tax Law & VAT Litigation, 23 April 2022

As the tax environment continue to in managing excisable products. The
evolve in UAE as indicated by various speakers took questions from the
clarifications/guidelines issued by the attendees and it was a very interactive
Federal Tax Authority, ICAI Dubai event.
Chapter organized this very relevant
session to update the members on
excise tax law and share some of
the practical aspects on VAT audits
conducted by the authorities and the
resulting VAT litigation due to that.

CA Nirav Shah, Director, Fame
Advisory took the first session and
spoke about the Tax audits and his
recent experiences on VAT litigation.
Next session was joined conducted by
CA Umang Garg, Finance Manager,
Kaane American International Tobacco
Co Ltd and CA Gaurav Chugani, Tax
Manager, Anderson, on the Excise
Tax law where they focussed on
sharing some of the practical aspects

Students Event, 30 April 2022

In order to inspire more students on
the benefits of pursuing the CA course
and give a feel of how the life will be
after becoming a CA, this event was
organized. The event was attended
by large number of students who are
pursuing or planning to pursue CA
course.

The event was focussed on sharing
some of the experiences of newly
qualified CAs and also senior CAs, so
that students can take inspiration from
them and carry on with the momentum
of becoming a Chartered Accountant.
The event was coordinated by Excom
member CA Amit Khaitan.
